The Black Eyed Peas are an American group, consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. Originally an alternative hip hop group, they subsequently changed their musical sound to pop and dance-pop music. Although the group was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, it was not until the release of their third album Elephunk in 2003 that they achieved high record sales. Since that time, the group has sold an estimated 76 million records, making them one of the world´s best selling groups all time, and one of the most successfull. In February 2011, the group performed at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.

For me this year is considered the Black Eyed Peas year, became even more successful and literally all year, the most successful music was theirs. The Peas became one of only 11 artists to have simultaneously held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100, with their singles Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling, which topped the chart for an unprecedented 26 consecutive weeks. In December the Peas published Meet Me Halfway,
was a success in that month. I Gotta Feeling became the first single to sell more than one million downloads in the UK.

This year was the continuation of the previous one, only that not with so much success, songs like Imma Be and Rock That Body reached the number 1 in the lists of the countries.

The Peas released The Beginning, it includes The Time (Dirty Bit), the video with more views of youtube of the Peas, also the party song Don't Stop The Party and the song filmed in Japan, one week before the earthquake and tsunami, which is also directed on the one hand to victims Just can' t get enough.

On August 31, 2016, The Black Eyed Peas released a new version of their song Where Is the Love?. The song is titled #WHERESTHELOVE and is credited to "The Black Eyed Peas featuring The World". The song as well as the accompanying video feature many other popular artists and all four members of the group, will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap & Taboo.[25] On June 3, 2017, they performed at the opening ceremony of the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final in Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
On June 2, 2017, a Billboard article rumoured that Fergie was departing from the band. will.i.am dismissed this, but they did announce that Fergie was taking a break from the group to work on her sophomore solo album Double Dutchess whilst the remaining members are working on Masters of the Sun.
